Fayetteville Public Library's Maker to Market Program Mollie Watkins Presented

Comprehensive Consulting Solutions for Small Businesses (CCS) was a part of the From Maker to Market Program at the Fayetteville Public Library

The From Maker to Market Program is FPL's new micro-entrepreneurship program, it is here to serve the blossoming entrepreneurship community in Northwest Arkansas.

The program consists of two parts: a skills training and product prototyping phase, followed by an idea, business and funding development phase which will be open to graduates of Phase 1. Each phase runs for six weeks on evenings and weekends.

Mollie Watkins, Accredited Small Business Consultant® at CCS, taught a Lending Options Workshop to 3 entrepreneurial cohorts in April, July, and August of 2022 for the From Maker to Market Program at the Fayetteville Public Library. The three workshops lasted 1.5 to 2 hours and focused on information and education on funding options for a small business.

The Workshops reviewed general lending terms and definitions, financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, & Cash Flow Projection), budgets (Start-up and Operating), and resources on funding options for loans, grants, and/or crowdfunding.
